FAQ

There are so many reasons to support a local small business! I can create custom tailor-made designs and flavours to suit your exact needs. I can accomodate a variety of dietary restrictions. I use high quality ingredients (that you can actually pronounce), unlike most larger retailers. I am readily available to communicate directly with you regarding the specifications of your order. I prepare everything fresh, made to order (no added preservatives). I am passionate about what I do, as well as the quality of the products I create.

Kate's Cakes is a home-based business located at 521 Sanderson Road, Oxford Mills, ON.

Yes! If there is something specific you are looking for, please contact me to discuss your vision; I will often try to make accommodations.

I will prepare dairy-free, lactose-free, or vegan baked goods, depending on the specifications of the order. Currently, I do not offer sugar-free or grain-free options.

Selecting the right serving size can be challenging. There are many factors which may influence the size of cake needed for a specific function; this includes the shape, number of layers, serving style (family or event), as well as who is cutting the cake! Every cake I prepare is 3 layers (unless otherwised discussed to accomodate various serving size requirements). As a general guide, a 6" round cake will serve 6-12 guests while an 8" round will serve approximetly 16-20 guests. As always, please feel welcome to contact me and I will help you decide what will be most appropriate for you.
